Busisiwe Tours was found in August 2003 and the owner is Ms Tshidi Molefe. Busisiwe Tours currently operates at the international terminal of Johannesburg International Airport (Africa’s busiest airport). We have found that there are serious factors that inhibit the involvement of women in mainstream business. Because of the high unemployment rate amongst women; we decided to offer an opportunity to women to be involved in this industry by training them and thereby increasing their economic capacity. Busisiwe Tours believes that enhancing women’s economic capacity will not only contribute to the economy, but also to the eradication of poverty which contributes to the destruction of the morale fabric of our society. The company’s long term vision is to expand its fleet and offer more organized tours and excursion packages to both the domestic and international market.
