Casalinga Ristorante
Casalinga was built by Jenny and Peter De Luca in 1989 as an extension of their home in Muldersdrift. Situated on the outskirts of Randburg, Casalinga overlooks the rolling hills of the Magaliesburg. The Restaurant was constructed from sections of demolished houses from the Randfontein Gold Mine estates and the aged wood, stained glass windows and rich décor transport one back to a more revered and relaxed era. The beautiful gardens and the home grown produce make this a true country restaurant.
One of Casalinga's most appealing features is its luxurios country ambience achieved through the architecture of its buildings, the colourful décor and masses of fresh flowers which decorate all the rooms.
On the road to Casalinga, one is transported from the rigours and stresses of modern day living to a tranquility and beauty where your only concern is to decide which delicious, decadent dessert to try. Casalinga is renowned for its quality of food, service and attention to detail.
Expansive views by day, through open windows and slide away doors to catch the summer breezes and cozy fireplaces aglow at night throughout the chilly winters make Casalinga the perfect venue for a luncheon or Dinner.
Herbs, fruit and vegetables are organically grown in our own gardens.
For the more exclusive Casalinga luncheon or dinner, our private dining room of our wine cellar will accomodate a maximum of twenty-four people.
Our existing cellar offers a vast selection of wines, and guests are invited to walk through and make their own selections for their celebrations.
